2023 Gathering Pinot Noir
$55.00 / bottle
Every ending has a new beginning. That’s certainly true of this wine. After losing our beloved Pinot plot to bushfire, we felt defeated. But an exhaustive search led to a new beginning – and an exciting new vineyard.
DRINKS LIKE: Dark cherry. Truffle. Roasted beetroot. Hints of game. Spice. Persistent fine tannins.
LOVE IT FOR: It’s delicious Maraschino cherry characters and delectable savouriness.
FUN FACT: Growing and making Pinot is like a problem child. You love it to no end, but it doesn’t always love you back. Full of ‘tude, but oh so delicate and joyful!

Season
The 2023 season was long and cool. Steady and consistent ripening matched with low crop loads ensured all varieties ripened well with the benefit of good-sized canopies. Mild, cool nights enhanced flavour development. The resulting wines are richly flavoured and high in quality with incredible aromatics.
Vinification
Fruit is hand-picked and sorted into whole bunch and whole berry ferments. Each parcel is basket pressed into 50% new and 50% seasoned French oak Barriques and left to mature in our underground cellar for 8 months.
