Beauty is in the balance when it comes to this Neb. Kuitpo grown, it enjoys the elevation of the Hills and modertain wins of the coast. Once in the winery, the delicate dance continues as we toe the line between colour, flavour and tannin.

DRINKS LIKE: Dried rose petals. Charcuterie. Morello cherry. Game meats. Sage. Graphite. Structured tannins.

LOVE IT FOR: It’s rarity. A tiny 500kg crop, makes this our smallest batch of wine ever made. Two barrels, fifty cases.

FUN FACT: Nebbiolo is an overzealous producer. Bunch thinning is a must to ensure we get quality over quantity.

Season

The 2023 season was long and cool. Steady and consistent ripening matched with low crop loads ensured all varieties ripened well with the benefit of good-sized canopies. Mild, cool nights enhanced flavour development. The resulting wines are richly flavoured and high in quality with incredible aromatics.

Vinification

Single-vineyard fruit is sorted into open top fermenters, where it’s hand-plunged twice daily over 11 days. It’s then basket pressed into seasoned French oak Barriques and matured in our cellar for 9 months.
