Second Trophy for Provenance 2021 Cabernet Franc

Second Trophy for Provenance 2021 Cabernet Franc

The outstanding recent wine show results have continued for The Lane Vineyard with another win – this time at the Royal Hobart Wine Show with the ‘Best Red Varietal’ Trophy going to our 2021 Provenance Cabernet Franc!

With this latest trophy, the 2021 vintage Cabernet Franc is making a strong claim for our most awarded wine in a single vintage, which also received 95 points from independent and highly respected Australian wine critics in Campbell Mattinson, Huon Hooke and Ned Goodwin MW.

Out of more than 60 wines tasted from a field featuring varietals such as Grenache, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Durif – from right across Australia – our Cabernet Franc has won top Gold and Trophy.

We’re thrilled for and so proud of our winemaking team; Turon White, Hugh Duckworth and Masa Yoshitome. This latest trophy is the fourth win for our winemakers in the last 9 months – following wins for the 2021 Provenance Syrah at Royal Queensland, 2019 Heritage Shiraz Viognier in the Adelaide Hills Wine Show and again for the 2021 Provenance Cabernet Franc at the National Wine Show earlier this year.
