2025 Gathering Gamay
$60.00 / bottle
The second this wine hits a glass, it shocks with its unexpected electric colour. Best described as a purple party thrown by its anthocyanins – the polyphenol pigments that bring the colour in Gamay’s red skins.
DRINKS LIKE: Blackberry. Violets. Juicy blood plum. Provençal herbs. Fine tannins.
LOVE IT FOR: One of the Adelaide Hills best kept secrets. It grows oh so well up here and its only a matter of time before the secret’s out!
FUN FACT: Grown since the 14th Century but has always played second fiddle to its famous neighbour, Pinot Noir. Not for long!

Season
2025 was the driest growing season on record in the Adelaide Hills. This led to slightly lower yields and a very early start to the vintage. We avoided severe heat waves, but it was our quintessential cool Adelaide Hills nights that allowed the fruit to develop beautiful flavour and hold onto its natural acidity.
Vinification
Handpicked and fermented in small open fermenters, with a mix of destemmed (80%) and whole bunch (20%) parcels. After cool fermentation and basket pressing, the wine matured nine months in French oak (12% new) before blending. Sourced 87% from our Estate block and 13% from Maple Ridge Vineyard, Hahndorf.
