Here comes the sun. That’s what our Cabernet Franc grapes get to proclaim before any other varietal on our estate. After all, being our most easterly facing vines, they’re first to glimpse sun each day.

LOVE IT FOR: It’s approachability. Medium body, juicy and easy drinking. Food is absolutely non-essential.

FUN FACT: The first Cab Franc planting on our estate is thanks to cuttings from Paracombe Wines – true pioneers of Franc in the Hills.

100% estate grown in Hahndorf, Adelaide Hills

Season

2025 was the driest growing season on record in the Adelaide Hills. This led to slightly lower yields and a very early start to the vintage. We avoided severe heat waves, but it was our quintessential cool Adelaide Hills nights that allowed the fruit to develop beautiful flavour and hold onto its natural acidity.

Vinification

Handpicked and fermented as 100% destemmed whole berries after a short cold soak, spending 16 days on skins. Basket pressed and matured 10 months in French oak barriques and hogsheads (17.5% new) before blending.
