Taste the Lane 2026 with Colin Fassnidge
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026
Colin Fassnidge returns to The Lane for his fourth Taste the Lane, joining our Head Chef Cameron Ahl for two very special days in the Adelaide Hills.
Together, Colin and Cameron will create a progressive multi-course dining experience that moves through some of the most beautiful corners of our estate, with great food, Lane wines and plenty of time with the chefs along the way.
This year, we’re also bringing some of our favourite South Australian producers and partners into the experience, including Eyrewoolf Abalone and Jurlique, each adding something special to the day.

Spring at The Lane
This year, Taste the Lane returns in the heart of spring, when fresh green growth fills the vineyard, the paddocks come to life and new-season produce begins arriving in the kitchen.
The season will shape Colin and Cameron’s menu as guests journey through the estate – from Eyrewoolf Abalone overlooking the valley at the Panorama and seafood by the Boatshed, to estate lamb cooked over fire at the restaurant. Our Adelaide Hills neighbours Jurlique will also bring botanicals from their farm into the experience.
With Lane wines poured at each stop, the afternoon is a celebration of spring in the Adelaide Hills – bringing together the season, the landscape and some of the people and produce we’re lucky to have around us.

Taste the Lane 2024
Our 2024 event was held over a weekend in March, right in the middle of vintage here at The Lane. Colin returned for his third Taste the Lane, joining our then Head Chef Tom Robinson for a progressive afternoon through the estate as harvest was in full swing around us.
Guests enjoyed Gazander oysters overlooking the valley before heading to the Boatshed for Robe snapper, charred Port Lincoln octopus and wattleseed flatbread, then on to the restaurant for Kangarilla beef, estate lamb and Colin’s famous colcannon. The weekend also marked the launch of our Gathering Series, with the very first Gathering wines poured for guests across two sold-out days.
Taste the Lane 2022
Our 2022 event was held over two days in October (early spring here on the estate) with new lambs and tiny buds bursting across the vineyards.
The team cooked up some stunning ‘trout on cedar planks’ by the waters edge at the Boatshed before wandering through the paddocks up to the winery and restaurant for the next course.
Taste the Lane 2021
In 2021, the event was held as part of the Tasting Australia Festival in early May. Guests got to rub shoulders and chat with Colin and Tom as they wandered through the vineyards with a glass of our Adelaide Hills Pinot in hand.
Our 2021 and 2022 events sold out in days, and with tickets once again extremely limited we recommend booking now to avoid missing out!
Immerse yourself in this unique experience and make some new friends along the way.
