Walk The Streets

Walking the Main Street of Hahndorf in Autumn is like stepping into a picture book village. The street is lined with beautiful old elm trees, and many of the shops and businesses sit inside original or restored German style buildings.

Start your day with a coffee at one of our favourites, Bean & Bikkie Co. There are plenty of food options to choose from as well. Of course there is German fare, but Australian and European food is in abundance as well. Check out Comida for Spanish tapas, The German Arms Hotel for a schnitzel or modern Aussie fare at The Haus.

Pop into the local visitor information centre and say hi to the volunteers. They would be more than happy to give you tips and ideas on how to spend your time in Hahndorf.
