The Lane Vineyard personifies rural Australia yet is a mere stone’s throw from Adelaide in South Australia. Hidden in the Adelaide Hills, just 3kms from the historic village of Hahndorf and a scenic 25-minute drive from Adelaide CBD, you will quickly feel a world away.

Our modern restaurant sits elevated in the heart of the vineyard overlooking the picturesque Adelaide Hills, perfect for a relaxing get away or business lunch. Discover the subtlety of single vineyard Estate wines paired with our new Provenance menu, designed by head chef Tom Robinson, featuring the best South Australian produce. 



At The Lane Restaurant we celebrate the Adelaide Hills as one of South Australia’s renowned food bowls and wine regions, comprising rolling landscapes of orchards, vineyards and market gardens on fertile soils.

Our signature Provenance menu explores the rich connection between food and wine and their origins. A five course long lunch hand selected and created by our kitchen team with a focus on ingredients grown and produced either on the estate or by local farmers, growers and suppliers.

To make the most of what each season in the Adelaide Hills can offer, additional courses and menu upgrades are available on the day of your visit.

With every new season comes fresh new produce, some available to us for weeks, some a matter of days. Foraged from our hills, grown on our estate or proudly South Australian, the Harvest menu showcases a selection of ever-changing dishes and the best seasonal ingredients available.

From lighter snacks to the more substantial choose your own, or opt for the Chef’s Choice for a bespoke lunch curated to your tastes.

An immersive, sensory food experience ‘from estate to plate’ – hosted by The Lane’s kitchen team.

Enjoy a seven course chef’s menu that celebrates seasonal ingredients – grown and produced either on the estate or by local farmers, growers and suppliers. All ingredients are traceable and ethically produced.

Each course is conceived and crafted to perfectly complement the wine.
